Charlotte de Witte's New Delhi Show Cancelled Due to Toxic Air Pollution
In a disappointing turn of events, techno superstar Charlotte de Witte's highly anticipated performance in New Delhi has been cancelled due to severe air pollution. The Sunburn Arena show, scheduled for this weekend, was called off as the city grapples with hazardous air quality levels, reportedly 50 times the safe limit.
"The show in Delhi on Saturday sadly can't take place. Due to a severe case of air pollution, the government is not allowing any big events to happen," de Witte shared on Instagram. "I'm very sorry I won't be able to be with you this weekend. I'm hoping to be able to give you the show you deserve in the future, in safer conditions".
New Delhi's toxic smog has led to drastic measures, including the closure of schools, a ban on non-essential trucks and diesel vehicles, and a halt to construction projects. Despite the cancellation, de Witte is still set to perform in Bangalore and Mumbai as planned.
Stay tuned for more updates on how this environmental crisis continues to impact events in the region.
